Abstract

In the digital era, Internet of Things (IoT) technology has transformed the operation of various industries, including the entertainment industry. IoT enables devices to connect and communicate over the internet. This study develops an IoT-based billiard table usage management system to improve operational efficiency in billiard cafes. This system uses the Raspberry Pi Pico W and the MQTT protocol to control and monitor billiard table lights in real-time, ensuring accurate time management and billing. The system is tested to ensure response time and performance. The test results show that this system functions well over long periods, can handle high number of requests, and updates billing status in real-time. The developed mobile application allows efficient monitoring and management of billiard table usage with features such as billing system and revenue analytics. The integration of IoT in billiard table management demonstrates significant improvements in operational efficiency and billing accuracy, making it an effective and innovative solution for entertainment businesses. This approach also provides a strong foundation for further development and adoption of IoT technology in other sectors requiring efficient operational management. © 2024 IEEE.
