This study aimed to determine the difference in students’ level of understanding before and after using synchronous and asynchronous network learning modes. This quantitative study employed a quasi-experimental research design. Data were obtained from 87 students who were divided into two experimental groups. The results show a higher level of mastery among students in Experimental Group 2 compared to Experimental Group 1. This implies that students with high self-efficacy had a different mastery of concepts from those who had moderate or low self-efficacy. This study concludes that the application of learning networks and self-efficacy influences and improves student science learning outcomes. © 2024, Grand Canyon University. All rights reserved.
