Abstract

This research aims to describe problem-based learning to improve students' mathematical problem-solving skills. This research is a Class Action Research (PTK) with a research subject of 32 students of grade VIII 7 at SMP N 1 Belitang, East OKU Regency. The study was conducted over two cycles. The result showed that the appplication of Problem Based Learning measures could improve students' mathematical problem-solving skills in the material of the Two-Variable Linear Equation System through activities (1) student orientation to problems, (2) organizing students to learn, (3) assisting individualized investigations, (4) developing and presenting works, (5) analyzing and evaluating problem-solving processes. © 2024 Author(s).
