Indonesia needs effective project management for various infrastructure, technological advancements, and socio-economic initiatives. This study examines the implementation of Agile project management in Indonesia in managing information system projects. Agile methods such as Serum and Kanban enable continuous project modification and better collaboration which also leads to better outcomes. A PRISMA-based literature review was conducted to identify the success factors and challenges in Agile-based project management. Several potential tools like Analytic Hierarchy Process or Balanced Scorecard were also analyzed to test Agile methods effectiveness in achieving strategic objectives. From what we have found, the project's success depends on continuous learning, effectiveness and efficiency of the processes, and the quality of the stakeholder engagement. Further research is needed to assess how Agile methods' effect in various industries. © 2024 IEEE.
