Coloring batik cloth is an important part of making batik more beautiful. However, batik coloring still uses traditional methods so it takes longer to complete the batik. The aim of this research is to find an effective tool color system design for batik robots and develop an efficient program for coloring Batik Tulis using an automatic color changing tool on a CNC-based robot batik machine running GRBL-plotter firmware. The method used in this research is Parallel Throwaway Prototyping which consists of several direct machine-made experiments. The results obtained are as follows: 1. There are 4 pens installed in one color changing tool system. 2. The rotating movement system uses stepper motors to change the color; 3. The degree of rotation of the pen color is calculated by dividing the number of steps of one rotation by the degree of rotation angle. The results of this research suggest that we pay attention to calibration in the first step of drawing batik using this machine by calculating and synchronizing the stepper motor or belt and lead screw because it can affect the accuracy of the stepper motor movement. © 2024 Author(s).
