Abstract

The purpose of this development research is to produce teaching materials in the form of problem-based learning-based bioinformatics e-modules for biochemistry courses that meet the requirements of validity, practicality and effectiveness. The materials used are amino acids and proteins, which are molecular devices that are essential in biological functions. The research method used is protein modelling and the Lee & Owen development model, which consists of five stages. The results of the validation test by media experts, material experts and field practitioners sequentially obtained a percentage of 100%. The results of the practicality test obtained a percentage of 93%. The results of the effectiveness test obtained an effective value in the medium category. The conclusion of this development research is that the bioinformatics e-module that has been developed has met the requirements of validity, practicality and effectiveness and can be used without the need for revision. © 2024 Author(s).
