Literacy is a competency that must be possessed by all students, including vocational education students who focus on developing job industry skills. As human resources who are prepared to contribute in various worlds of work, literacy plays a role in producing a skilled and competent workforce. With this urgency, research is the basis to refers literacy development in vocational schools. However, the research hasn't been widely known as well as the direction in the future. So, this study focuses on mapping research related to literacy in vocational education using qualitative methods with content analysis approach using bibliometrics. The data used is Google Scholar and Scopus database taken through Publish or Perish as much as 1.163 raw data, then filtered into 79 relevant data. From the results of the study, it was found that the growth trend graph tends to fluctuate for its Top of Citation and rise for Top of Publication. The author on behalf of Riyan Arthur and the team is dominant who focused on developing scientific literacy into vocational literacy. The results of the keyword analysis where the word "student"appears as the dominant keyword means that most existing publications are oriented towards students' literacy abilities. Based on the results and discussions, it's recommended to develop research that refers to related research in 2018 - 2023 which more focuses on vocational literacy, analysis of literacy development needs, analysis of teaching material development needs that could support literacy research in vocational education and could answer the needs specifically for graduates. © 2024 Author(s).
