This research was conducted to calculate and estimate the combined productivity rate model of heavy construction (HCE) equipment between excavators and dump trucks on railroad construction projects. The model is generated by using data obtained from the Package 5 of Double-Track of South Trans-Java railroad construction project between city of Mojokerto and Jombang, Indonesia. The rate of productivity is based on the activities that occur in earthworks, starting from excavation and loading, transportation, disposal, to reloading. Multiple linear regression analysis is used to generate the model of estimated-combined productivity rate. With a value of R = 99.96, the developed regression model can represent the existing data. The model is used as the basis for estimating the combined productivity of HCE. The average combined productivity rate in the project is quite low with a value of 35.84 m3/hour at good and moderate field conditions. The productivity rate decreases as the truck's loading distance and excavator's cycle time increases. But inversely, the productivity rate increases with the increase in the number of dump trucks and its speed of filling and emptying. © 2024 Author(s).
