Abstract

Agricultural activities require adequate irrigation to maintain productivity, but irrigation faces water scarcity during dry seasons and potential overflow during rainy seasons. Effective management of irrigation networks is essential to address these challenges. In Malang's Kedungkandang Irrigation Area (KIA), there are 23 Kedungkandang Main Water Gates (KMWG): 2 categorized as adequate, 7 as insufficient, and 13 as having excessive water supply. To improve irrigation management under these conditions, research was conducted on developing Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) based on Takagi-Sugeno-Kang Fuzzy Logic for a Flood Alert Irrigation Network Prototype. This research applied WSN with LoRa communication to monitor water levels in rivers and irrigation channels, transmitting data to a master node. Fuzzy logic was used to determine the irrigation network's status as Safe, Alert, or Warning. The study results showed the system effectively measured water levels and transmitted this data to the Master Node, which then sent the information to a database. A website processed this data, displaying real-time water levels and the network's flood preparedness status. © 2025 IEEE.
