Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) have problems learning to recognize emotional expressions. This problem has a huge impact on ASD children's skills in social interaction, especially understanding the emotional expressions of people around them. This study used Emotion-Selfie assistive technology to introduce emotional expression to children with ASD. The research subjects in this study were eight students at a special school aged 14 - 18 years. The experimental design uses pre and post tests, using nonparametric Wilcoxon analysis. The research results showed that the use of Emotion-Selfie assistive technology was proven to be successful in increasing ASD students' ability to imitate basic emotional expressions, and happy emotional expressions were the easiest emotional expressions for ASD students to imitate. © 2025 IEEE.
