Development and Impact of Website-Based Microlearning via Notion on Cognitive Learning Outcomes of High School Students

Abstract

This study aims to develop website-based Microlearning media using the Notion platform on the material of the History of the Development of Islam in Indonesia for grade X high school students. The development was carried out through the Research and Development (R&D) method with the Lee & Owens model. Product validation involved two experts, namely media experts and material experts, with results of 84% and 83% respectively, which are included in the very feasible category. This refers to standard product validation criteria in educational research, with a score of 81-100% categorized as very feasible. Based on this standard, the developed product is deemed highly feasible for implementation in the learning process with only minor improvements if necessary. Effectiveness tests through pre-test and post-test showed an increase in student understanding with an N-Gain value of 0.656 (moderate category), and Cohen's D results of 1.742 which showed a very large influence. The results of the study indicate that the developed learning media is feasible to implement and has the potential to improve student learning outcomes. © 2025 IEEE.
