This desk research study conducts an in-depth investigation into the profound impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the field of education. This study explores the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education, focusing on its applications in personalized learning, intelligent assessment, and improving teaching efficiency. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method was used, which involved reviewing 76 academic journals published between 2010 and 2025, utilizing five major academic databases. Based on the analysis, five broad theme categories were elicited from the review: AIassisted assessment, personalized learning systems, ethical and social implications, teacher roles in human-AI collaboration, and educational policy and governance frameworks. The paper suggests future directions, including human-AI collaboration in teaching, emotional intelligence development, the creation of AI ethical frameworks, and enhancing assessment credibility. © 2025 IEEE.
