Abstract

Vocational education has a central role in preparing competent and work-ready human resources, especially in facing the demands of the industry 4.0 era. Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers transformative potential to improve the quality and effectiveness of vocational learning. This study aims to identify and analyze the potential application of AI in vocational learning through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. Through the analysis of nine relevant articles that have been systematically selected, this study identifies the potential of AI in improving teaching effectiveness through personalization, interactivity, and real-time feedback. AI also expands educational accessibility, improves workforce readiness for Industry 4.0, and drives interest and efficiency in learning. The integration of AI with Learning Management System (LMS) is crucial, transforming LMS into an an adaptive platform that supports skill development, student data analysis, and administrative automation. Nonetheless, challenges such as technology infrastructure, educator readiness, curriculum suitability, and data privacy still need to be addressed. This research underscores the urgency of a well-planned AI implementation strategy, including platform optimization, financial support, teacher competency improvement, and adaptive curriculum design, to create an inclusive vocational education that is relevant to the demands of the digital workforce. © 2025 IEEE.
