Advanced online learning environments have accelerated the transformation of education, gradually freeing it from the limitations of traditional models. However, compared with face-to-face classes, online Chinese learning still faces challenges such as difficulty in lacking of interactivity, which in turn have a certain negative impact on teaching effectiveness and learning experience. Therefore, this study aims to explore how online Chinese as a second language learning environment can help learners improve their learning interaction ability. The study adopts a quantitative method, taking 20 primary learners from a Confucius Institute as a sample, continuously monitoring their learning performance in a five-week course, and using SPSS 26.0 to conduct statistical analysis on the obtained data. The results indicate that learners demonstrated positive changes in their interactions with the instructor, content, and peers. © 2025 IEEE.
