Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of implementing RPG Maker MV gamification-based learning media with numeracy literacy and elaboration of local wisdom in Pacitan Regency entitled Power Heritage on the analytical thinking abilities of elementary school students. The research subjects were 66 sixth-grade elementary school students in Pacitan Regency, consisting of Public Elementary School of Ketepung, Public Elementary School of Pacitan, and Public Elementary School of Wonogondo. The research method used was a pre-experimental experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. Sampling was conducted using simple saturated sampling, and data were obtained in the form of test results, documentation, and observations. Test results were then analyzed using the Effect Size formula to determine the effectiveness of the media on analytical thinking skills. Based on the effectiveness test, it was found that the effect size score of- 2.37 fell within the range of ≥ 0.8, interpreted as a high effect despite being negative. This indicates that the learning media is effective in supporting students' analytical thinking skills at the elementary school level. © 2025 IEEE.
