CML has been integrated into EFL learning to link theory and practice by involving students in media creation and understanding. Furthermore, it improves students' language proficiency, cultural sensitivity, and sense of empowerment to engage in community life, equipping them to negotiate complicated media environments successfully in the current digital age. Besides, by integrating CML, EFL teachers empower students to evaluate media content critically, understand cultural nuances, and actively participate in societal issues. This all-encompassing approach develops language competency while providing students with the tools they need to be knowledgeable citizens in a world where media is widely available. © The Author(s).
