Construction of Piezoelectric Energy Harvesting Using Full Pressure Transducer

Abstract

A piezoelectric is a device that converts pressure into electric energy. The size of the piezoelectric efficiency value is determined by the magnitude of the output power generated by the piezoelectric module. In this study, we report a series of various circuit configurations using single and eight piezo elements. The piezoelectric element consists of MCFT-27T-4.2A1-126 commercial type. A Keithley electrometer and a handmade pressure module were employed. The hand-made tools were equipped with a full set of rectifiers as well as resistors to avoid power loss and reverse current optimization back as output. In this work we create single element, and 8-series, 8-parallel, and four different of 8 element combined configurations. The parallel circuit is the most optimal voltage output generator of 42.57 V (16 N) compared to other configurations. On the other hand, the combined configuration 1 is the output producer of current and maximum power consecutive of 94.86 μA and 1.34701 mW (12 N). © 2025 American Institute of Physics Inc..
