Abstract

Digital technology-based learning media has yet to be widely used in economic learning activities in high school. The financial learning media used by high school economics teachers, be it package books or PowerPoint presentations, need to make the most of the facilities and potential they have in this digitalization period, thus hindering the absorption of knowledge by students. School regulations that do not prohibit students from bringing smartphones to school, accompanied by the development of media developers and increasingly advanced technology, can be used to minimize these obstacles. This research and development aims to develop an android game-based learning media, “Economic Monopoly (Ecopoly)”, for economics subjects. This research uses an R&D method that refers to the ADDIE model. The media that has been developed is validated by material experts, media experts, and users. The validation results show that the Economic Monopoly (Ecopoly) learning media is declared ‘Very Feasible’ and can be used as an economic learning medium to increase learning motivation. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.
