A single layer of carbon atoms organized in a two-dimensional (2D) honeycomb lattice, referred to as graphene, has been the focus of numerous studies for various uses. To lessen and even prevent the development of clustering between particles, PEG 1000 polymer is added in the production of graphene nanoparticles. Following blending 20 ml of PEG-1000 liquid with a finely ground corncob powder that hadn't been heated up, the resulting mixture was stirred at 750 RPM for an hour. XRD (X-ray Diffractometer), UV-visible spectrophotometer spectrometer, Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), and SEM-EDX (Scanning Electron Microscopy-Energy Dispersive X-ray) were the techniques employed in the present study to characterize the test material. With a step of 0.040, XRD measuring starts at an angle among 100 and 600. Cu Kα1 wavelength used in this XRD is 1.5046 Å. Using Search Match! Software to perform information matching is the basis of the phase identification process. The UV-Vis Spectrophotometer measurement aims to determine the width of the energy band gap. © 2025 American Institute of Physics Inc.. All rights reserved.
