Mathematical disposition is an important affective aspect that influences students' ability to solve mathematical problems effectively. Meanwhile, problem-solving skills are fundamental in the context of learning mathematics. This research aims to describe the problem-solving process of 3 students at Mojoagung State High School based on their mathematical disposition in solving geometric problems and to identify the underlying reasons behind their performance. The research method is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The instruments used include a mathematical disposition questionnaire, problem-solving test questions, and interview guidelines focusing on both disposition and problem-solving. The research results reveal that students with high and medium mathematical disposition categories can fulfil the four stages of Polya's problem-solving framework, while students in the low category struggle to complete all stages. The novelty of this research lies in its integration of Polya’s problem-solving stages with the evaluation of mathematical disposition as a multidimensional construct, offering new insights into how affective and cognitive factors interact in real problem-solving scenarios. This study contributes to the development of instructional strategies that target not only cognitive problem-solving but also the enhancement of students' affective disposition. Future research can explore scalable interventions that foster mathematical disposition and improve overall student performance in diverse educational contexts. © 2025 American Institute of Physics Inc..
