Abstract

The Electronic Module Integration of Islamic Religious Education and Pancasila and Citizenship Education Materials (E-MIMPIN) was developed as an alternative teaching resource to strengthen students’ mutual cooperation character. This study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of E-MIMPIN in achieving this objective. A quasi-experimental design was employed, involving 212 students from Public Elementary Schools in Lamongan, East Java, Indonesia. The control and experimental classes were randomly assigned. Students’ mutual cooperation character was assessed using a questionnaire containing 5 statements for each of 3 indicators. Data were analyzed using an independent sample t-test. The results indicated that E-MIMPIN significantly strengthened students’ mutual cooperation character in the experimental class compared to the control class (sig. 0.000). The cooperation indicator showed a significant improvement within the “very good” criteria, followed by the caring indicator, also within the “very good” criteria, and the sharing indicator within the “good” criteria. It was concluded that Islamic Religious Education and Pancasila and Citizenship Education teachers could effectively use E-MIMPIN to enhance students’ mutual cooperation (gotong royong) character.
