The purpose of this study is to analyze the D3 of road vehicle inspection at the Polytechnic of Road Transportation Safety (PKTJ) which needs to be organized and find a pattern of its development that is in accordance with the professional competence of professional education program of road vehicle inspectors. This study uses a survey and discussion. The data used are primary and secondary data. The collection of primary data is taken from courses of D3 of road vehicle inspection for the development of professional education programs of road vehicle inspectors. It is conducted through discussions with professional associations of road vehicle inspectors. The secondary data is a study of the proposed program to be held at polytechnic transportation safety. Samples were collected through a questionnaire given to periodic vehicles inspectors in the regency/city. This study shows that periodic vehicles inspectors in the regency/city state that it is necessary to organize professional education of road vehicle inspection study program which starts from the development of D3 road vehicles inspection. The study concluded that the existing program has not accommodated the needs of the profession of road vehicle inspector. Analysis of this study can be applied as a consideration to open professional education of road vehicle inspection. © 2017 American Scientific Publishers All rights reserved.
