Abstract

A new topology called improved two switched-inductor quasi-Z-source inverter (i2SL-qZSI) is introduced in this paper. Compared to previous topologies, the voltage gain of the proposed topology is increased significantly by using smaller value of shoot-through duty cycle. Furthermore, it offers smaller voltage stresses in the inverter switch and has a lower current ripple across all inductors for the same operating point. The principle operation and analysis of the proposed topology are presented in this paper and then compared with the previous topologies. Simulations were conducted to confirm the performance of the proposed topology. © 2018 IEEE.
